Apple is reportedly set to bring back Touch ID on its upcoming foldable iPhone, which is expected to launch in 2026. The device will be part of a series of iPhone redesigns planned by the tech giant over the next three years.
According to Bloomberg, Apple initially considered an on-cell touch sensor technology but ultimately opted for an in-cell option instead. This decision was made to minimize thickness and make the foldable iPhone more manageable.
The foldable iPhone will reportedly feature four cameras and multiple color options including white, black, light blue, and light gold. In contrast, a rumored “iPhone Air” device is expected to be ultra-thin with just one camera and a basic chip.
