Mega Millions has reached record-breaking levels, with a new jackpot of $740 million set ahead of Friday’s drawing. Unfortunately, no winning ticket was sold before the draw, leaving the prize tantalizingly close to reaching its highest point.
However, luck did favor one lucky player in Southern California. The only ticket sold, from OK Liquor in Long Beach, displayed five out of six numbers needed to win the jackpot – missing only the Mega number. As a result, the owner of that winning ticket took home a significant prize of $359,992.
The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Tuesday at 8 p.m., giving hopeful players another chance to change their fortunes.
