NVIDIA has made its highly anticipated robotics computer system, the Jetson AGX Thor, generally available. The system is designed to power millions of robots across various industries, including manufacturing, logistics, transportation, healthcare, agriculture, and retail.
The Jetson Thor offers 7.5x more AI compute and 3.5x greater energy efficiency compared to its predecessor, the Jetson Orin. This enables real-time reasoning inference, critical for highly performant physical AI applications in humanoid robotics, agriculture, and surgical assistance.
Industry leaders such as Agility Robotics, Amazon Robotics, Boston Dynamics, Caterpillar, Figure, Hexagon, Medtronic, and Meta have already adopted the system. Early adopters include companies like 1X, John Deere, OpenAI, and Physical Intelligence, which are evaluating Jetson Thor to advance their physical AI capabilities.
The system is powered by an NVIDIA Blackwell GPU and features 128GB of memory, delivering up to 2,070 FP4 teraflops of AI compute within a 130-watt power envelope. It solves the significant challenge of running multi-AI workflows to enable robots to have real-time, intelligent interactions with people and the physical world.
Jetson Thor is part of NVIDIA’s full-stack Jetson platform, which supports any popular AI framework and generative AI model. The system is also fully compatible with NVIDIA’s software stack from cloud to edge, including NVIDIA Isaac for robotics simulation and development, Isaac GR00T humanoid robot foundation models, NVIDIA Metropolis for vision AI, and NVIDIA Holoscan for real-time sensor processing.
Priced at $3,499, the Jetson AGX Thor developer kit is now available. Production systems and carrier boards can be purchased from embedded partners worldwide.
