Google Unveils Nano Banana Image Editing Tool

Google has confirmed that its recently viral image-editing tool, known as Nano Banana, is indeed a project of the company. The tool will be added to the Gemini app, allowing users to access it starting Tuesday. Users can create up to 100 edits per day for free and ten times as many with paid accounts.

Nano Banana allows users to generate new images from text or existing photos. It has been shown to outperform other models in image editing and generating significant buzz on social media. The tool can also perform multi-step edits, combine two images, and make changes to photos without distorting the subject’s features.

Google says its new tool is better than previous models at making sure the subject of a photo doesn’t start to look like someone else, especially when multiple edits are applied. The company aims to create consistently accurate depictions of individuals in edited photos.

In contrast, another article discussed the turmoil surrounding the Federal Reserve, with President Trump firing Governor Lisa Cook for alleged false claims in her mortgage applications. Cook plans to fight the decision, setting up a legal battle over who is really in charge of the central bank.
