USMNT Names Roster for Friendlies Against South Korea and Japan

Christian Pulisic is set to return to the US men’s national team, having been named to the squad for two friendlies against South Korea and Japan. The 22-player roster, led by head coach Mauricio Pochettino, includes several notable absences. Goalkeeper Matt Turner will not participate due to an offseason loan move, while strikers Folarin Balogun, Ricardo Pepi, and Patrick Agyemang are also absent. Several players, including Josh Sargent and Sergiño Dest, are returning from injuries. The squad features a mix of experienced players and younger prospects, with 18-year-old Noahkai Banks making his debut in the friendlies. Goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann, the son of former US head coach Jürgen Klinsmann, is also included. The US will face South Korea at Sports Illustrated Stadium on September 6 and Japan at Lower.com Field on September 9.
