Israeli forces stormed a school sheltering displaced people in the Gaza Strip, killing at least 15 Palestinians and injuring many more. The attack occurred on Sunday in Beit Hanoon, northern Gaza, with witnesses describing severe injuries sustained by those affected.
The storming of the Khalil Oweida School was reportedly carried out without prior warning, trapping those inside with no access to medical treatment due to a lack of operational hospitals in the area.
At least 46 Palestinians were killed across Gaza in the last 24 hours, according to the territory’s Ministry of Health. Five massacres committed by Israeli forces were reported during this period, with at least 14 deaths in southern Gaza City and four others in the centre of Gaza City.
The attacks come as part of a wave of violence across the besieged Palestinian territory, following a series of Israeli raids and bombings. The deadly clashes have left dozens dead, including two journalists killed overnight.
Since October 7, 2023, at least 44,976 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
