Ford is recalling over 355,000 pickup trucks in the US due to a faulty instrument panel display that can cause critical information like warning lights and vehicle speed to not appear on the dashboard. The recall affects certain 2025 model year F-150s as well as other “Super Duty” trucks from 2025 to 2026.
The issue, which was introduced in production in June 2024 but removed in July 2025, causes the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to fail at startup, resulting in a blank screen. This can lead drivers to miss critical safety-related information, increasing the risk of crash.
Ford is providing a free software update to fix the issue. The update will be available through an “over-the-air” process or at authorized dealers.
The company said it’s taking steps to quickly identify and fix issues like this, as stated by Kumar Galhotra, chief operating officer.
