Keegan Bradley Announces Six Captain’s Picks for 2025 US Ryder Cup Team

US Ryder Cup Captain Keegan Bradley has announced six captain’s picks for the 2025 team, which will compete at Bethpage Black in New York from September 23-28. The chosen players are Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay, Ben Griffin, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, and Cameron Young.

Bradley praised his selections, saying they bring a strong mix of experience and talent to the team. All six picked players have unique strengths that will benefit the US in its quest to reclaim the Cup.

Burns returns after making his debut in 2023 and brings strong putting skills, having ranked first on TOUR this season in Strokes Gained:Putting (0.924) and Putting Inside 10 feet (90.79%).

Cantlay has extensive match play experience, with a 5-2-1 career Ryder Cup record, and a perfect 2-0-0 mark in singles matches. He collected 10 top-15 finishes this season, including T-2 at the TOUR Championship.

Griffin made his debut on the US team after earning two PGA TOUR victories at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and Charles Schwab Challenge. His 10 top-10 results include The Memorial Tournament (runner-up) and the PGA Championship (T-8).

Morikawa represents the US for a third time, boasting a 4-3-1 all-time record in the Ryder Cup. He ranked second on TOUR this season in Strokes Gained: Tee to Green (1.233) and third in Strokes Gained: Approach the Green (0.848).

Thomas is making his fourth appearance, with a 7-4-2 record, including three singles victories. He secured his 16th PGA TOUR win in April and recorded top-10 finishes, including three runner-ups.

Young is one of four US Ryder Cup rookies on the team. The 28-year-old won his first PGA TOUR victory at the Wyndham Championship earlier this month and had top-12 finishes in each of his last four starts.
