Actor Rainn Wilson, known for his role as Dwight Schrute on The Office, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram after the death of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk. Wilson acknowledged that he didn’t always agree with Kirk but condemned the idea of violence against those who disagree.
Wilson called for people to build bridges of love and unity, especially between those with differing opinions. He referenced Arthur Brooks’ phrase “We need to learn how to disagree better” and emphasized the importance of finding compassion for a true spiritual revolution.
However, not all comments were supportive, as some argued that hate speech can’t be dismissed as simply a difference of opinion. Wilson’s former Office co-star Kate Flannery stood in support, saying everyone has the right to express themselves and stay alive.
