Nvidia Faces Antimonopoly Probe in China

China’s market regulator has found Nvidia guilty of violating anti-monopoly laws, complicating trade talks between the US and China. Nvidia acquired Mellanox, an Israeli tech company, in 2020, and was approved by China with conditions. The State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) is investigating how Nvidia allegedly breached these laws. This update could affect US-China chip talks, which began on Sunday. Nvidia has faced tensions with the Chinese market recently due to geopolitical issues. Last month, the company secured a deal to resume sales to China after agreeing to share revenue with the US government.
