How Donetick Became My Essential Home Lab Task Manager

I still use Donetick regularly despite initial reservations. Its features have proven valuable due to changes in my life that require more task management. Financial constraints led me to outsource chores, but worsening health and medication costs made it difficult for others to help. Since then, I’ve relied on Donetick to keep track of tasks.

The app’s scheduling helps me stay on top of smaller chores, which feel manageable when broken down. Automated rules also assist in keeping things organized. For instance, I use the app to remember when to switch my cats’ filter or vacuum their floor. This has reduced stress and made maintaining a tidy home more achievable.

Donetick even motivated me to try Cloudflare Tunnel, an essential tool for self-hosting projects. The app’s need for HTTPS encouraged me to set it up and access my NAS from outside my network. With limited notifications, Donetick has become an integral part of my weekly routine.

I’ve come to appreciate the value Donetick brings to my task management, making it a vital tool in my home lab setup.
