Disney will increase the cost of its popular streaming services starting October 21. The ad-supported Disney+ plan will rise from $9.99 to $11.99 per month, while the ad-free option will go up from $15.99 to $18.99.
A bundled plan with Disney+ and Hulu will add $2, making it $12.99 per month with ads and $19.99 without. A package including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Select will increase by $3, rising from $16.99 to $19.99 with ads and hitting $29.99 ad-free.
This price hike comes as other streaming services like Apple, Peacock, and Netflix have also raised their subscription costs recently. The move reflects the growing popularity of streaming platforms among Americans, with 46% of viewers now watching TV and movies on these platforms, compared to traditional cable or legacy networks.
