L.A.B. Golf, a successful putter company founded by 44-year-old Sam Hahn, has reached a valuation of over $200 million, making it one of the most valuable companies in Creswell, Oregon. The company’s sales have grown a whopping 18,000% since Hahn took over as its leader.
Hahn, who also owns Blairally Vintage Arcade in Eugene, grew his love for golf while playing at Laurelwood Golf Course in his early 20s. He met the inventor of L.A.B. Golf technology, Bill Presse, after discovering a putter called Reno 2.1 that would change the game for him.
Under Hahn’s leadership, L.A.B. Golf has expanded its operations from 12 employees to over 250 and become one of the top putter manufacturers globally, with Adam Scott, Jason Dufner, Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, and others using their products. The company’s success can be attributed to its innovative “lie angle balance” technology, which eliminates torque from the putting process.
The company’s growth has also had a significant impact on the local economy in Creswell, where it recently moved to a large building that was previously used as an events center and gym. L.A.B. Golf is now creating over 1,500 putters a day and employing hundreds of people in the area.
Mayor Nick Smith from Creswell has expressed his support for the company, stating that he would love to “keep them in Creswell forever!” The town’s small population is likely to benefit greatly from L.A.B. Golf’s presence, as it brings in new businesses, jobs, and investment to the area.
