US Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told a UN meeting that the US will reject a new declaration aimed at reducing non-communicable diseases, which cause millions of deaths worldwide each year. The declaration outlines targets to reduce tobacco use and increase access to mental health care by 2030. Despite criticism from some countries, the World Health Organization says there is “overwhelming support” for the text.
