Corteva, a leading agrichemicals firm, plans to separate its seed and pesticide businesses into two distinct companies, allowing each to make independent decisions on investments and growth strategies. This move is aimed at sharpening its focus and capital allocation. The company expects dis-synergies of $80-100 million but analysts believe it won’t affect valuation. Corteva’s shares have fallen 7% due to concerns about disruption, while its seed business generated 57% of total sales in 2024.
