Celebrity favorite Tom Cruise’s popular holiday gift cake has been recalled due to potential allergens. Doan’s Bakery of California recalled two of its cakes sold on Goldbelly, the White Chocolate Coconut Cake and Carrot Cake, because they may contain wheat and milk, which are not listed on the label.
The cakes were sold nationwide from June 1 to September 24 and are made with ingredients such as white chocolate, coconut flakes, cream cheese frosting, and tree nuts. Despite no reported illnesses, Doan’s Bakery took corrective action after a routine facility inspection revealed the issue in September.
The White Chocolate Coconut Cake is said to be a personal favorite of Cruise, who sends it to friends and family during the holiday season. It sells for $109.95, while the Carrot Cake costs $105.95.
