Chip-designer AMD and AI maker OpenAI have teamed up for a massive partnership. The deal sees OpenAI purchase 6 gigawatts of AMD’s chips, starting with the MI450 chip next year. This collaboration aims to drive new revenue for AMD, estimated at tens of billions over the next half-decade.
