Health Secretary Kennedy Reiterates Unproven Autism Link to Tylenol

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has reasserted the unproven connection between pain reliever Tylenol and autism, despite lacking medical proof. During a meeting with President Trump and Cabinet members, Kennedy stated that taking Tylenol during pregnancy without a medical need is irresponsible. He also linked autism to circumcision, stating that infant boys who undergo the procedure have double the rate of autism.

However, experts point out that this claim is based on a 2015 study from Denmark, which found a potential link between ritual circumcision and autism spectrum disorder in boys under 10. But researchers note that this study looked at correlation, not causation, and other studies have found no evidence to support the connection.

Furthermore, Kennedy’s comments were met with criticism after he mistakenly described a pregnant woman’s anatomy during the meeting. Additionally, his comments on Tylenol and autism have raised concerns among medical experts about his unconventional views on public health policy.
