Portland ICE Protest Turns Violent After Emergency Naked Bike Ride

Protesters in Portland gathered outside the city’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) building, with some supporting federal agents and others opposing them. The situation escalated to a “Emergency Naked Bike Ride,” which brought around 500 people to the scene. Federal agents responded with pepper balls, detaining two individuals.

A previous court ruling allowed 200 National Guard members to remain federalized but delayed their deployment to Portland. A federal appeals court is now reviewing this decision. Meanwhile, protests and arrests continued across the city, including an incident on Saturday night where two people were taken into custody. The ongoing tensions highlight the deep divisions within Portland’s community regarding immigration policies and law enforcement actions.
