A local app-maker, Riley Walz, has made headlines for the third time in a month by pranking Waymo vehicles. This latest stunt involved gathering 50 people to head to “San Francisco’s longest dead-end street” and ordering a Waymo ride, only to no-show and leave the vehicle stranded. The plan, which was documented on social media, aimed to test how Waymo would handle the situation. According to Walz, Waymo handled it well by disabling rides within a 2-block vicinity until morning. While this prank may seem harmless, it raises questions about the potential for malicious activities and whether Google/Alphabet will comment on the incident.
