Grandma Finds Key on Eve of Daughter’s Tragic Death

A grandmother found a purple key with a green butterfly on it in her living room on New Year’s Eve 2019, a night that would become one of the darkest days of her life. The key was special to her daughter, who had been missing for several hours before being brutally murdered and her children were left traumatized.

Lyndon Wiggins is retried on charges of orchestrating the events leading to Monique Baugh’s death and attempted murder of Jon Mitchell-Momoh, her partner. Three individuals have already been sentenced to life in prison for their roles in the crimes: Cedric Berry, Berry Davis, and Elsa Segura, Wiggins’ girlfriend.

On the night of the tragedy, Grandma Williams Baugh was calm during questioning but broke down in tears when shown a photo of the key. Earlier that evening, she had received a message about a shooting at her neighbor’s home, which she believed would be Jon Mitchell-Momoh, her daughter’s partner and father of their children. She rushed home despite being told the kids were there to keep them safe.
