The New York Giants faced a tough test on Sunday as they fell to the Baltimore Ravens 35-14. Despite some standout performances from key players, the team’s overall effort was marred by several costly mistakes.
On the positive side, linebacker Micah McFadden continued his development with 11 tackles, a sack, and a quarterback hit. Quarterback Tim Boyle showed signs of life in the second half, leading to some much-needed momentum for the Giants. Wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson praised Boyle’s ability to “go with the flow” and make plays when needed.
Boyle himself had a solid game, finishing 12 of 24 for 123 yards with a touchdown pass to Malik Nabers. The Giants’ passing attack was boosted by several completions from Boyle, including a 25-yard pass to Robinson and a 23-yard touchdown to Nabers.
Malik Nabers also shone in a tough season, catching 10 passes for 82 yards and a touchdown on Sunday. He now has 90 receptions on the season despite playing with an injury.
However, the Giants’ defense was a major issue, particularly against quarterback Lamar Jackson. The Ravens’ offense ran wild, with Jackson completing 25 of 29 passes for 290 yards and five touchdowns. The secondary struggled to contain the wide receivers, and key players like Kayvon Thibodeaux and Dane Belton were unable to make an impact.
Despite the losses, the Giants will look to bounce back in their next game. For now, they must regroup and focus on finding ways to improve their defense and close out plays when needed.
