IT giant Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) has set the record straight after The Telegraph published a misleading article about its contract with Marks & Spencer (M&S) and a cyberattack incident.
TCS clarified that it won the service desk contract with M&S through a competitive bidding process, unrelated to the alleged cyberattack. They also assured that the commercial aspect of this contract is minor in their overall relationship with M&S.
The company reiterates they don’t provide cybersecurity services to M&S and the vulnerabilities did not originate from its systems.
