Pinterest is launching new AI-powered upgrades to its boards, making them more personalized for users. The platform’s “Styled for you” feature creates outfits from saved fashion Pins by combining different clothing and accessories tailored to individual style preferences. Another feature, “Boards made for you,” provides curated boards with a blend of editorial input and AI suggestions.
These AI features aim to evolve Pinterest boards into a more personalized way to explore, shop, and find outfit inspiration. The company is initially testing the new upgrades in the US and Canada and will start rolling out globally soon. Additionally, Pinterest has introduced new tabs to sort Pins into categories, including “Make It Yours,” which recommends products based on saved Pins, and “More Ideas,” which suggests related content across categories.
The platform is also introducing controls to let users reduce the number of AI-generated Pins they see in their feed. This move aims to balance the integration of AI features with efforts to keep AI-generated content off its platform.
