Oregon Rep. Cliff Bentz needs to take a firmer stand against President Donald Trump’s negative comments about Portland, the state’s economic engine. As the lone Republican in Oregon’s congressional delegation, Bentz should defend his constituents’ interests and clarify that Portland is not a war zone. By doing so, he can protect rural Oregon from devastating federal cuts.
