Sources close to the situation say co-hosts Michelle Miller and Dana Jacobson are out, along with executive producer Brian Applegate. The show’s drastic change comes after CBS News editor in chief Bari Weiss and president Tom Cibrowski decide it’s too expensive. With ratings slipping 10% and 20%, CBS is cutting costs by canceling several shows, including “CBS Mornings Plus” and a streaming offshoot of “CBS Evening News.” The network is also laying off staff, closing its bureau in Johannesburg, South Africa, and gutting its Race and Culture unit.”
