World’s Smallest USB Flash Drive with USB-C Connector Launched

SanDisk has introduced the world’s smallest removable USB flash drive with a built-in USB-C connector. The drive is small enough that users don’t need to remove it, according to the company.

This new drive sits perpendicular to the connector and comes with SanDisk’s Memory Zone backup software. It will be available in various sizes, from 64GB for $14.99 to 1TB for $109.99. The USB-C connection allows it to work on both laptops and smartphones. However, its I/O speed is slower than typical laptops at 5Gbps.

The drive’s compact design means users won’t need to remove it frequently, unlike traditional flash drives that can get damaged if they’re left in for too long.
