MN Voters Cast Ballots in Dozens of Local Races on Tuesday

Voters across Minnesota will cast their ballots in dozens of local races on Tuesday. Although this election may not have the same attention as a presidential contest, its outcomes can significantly impact local issues such as growth, school funding, and legislative balance.

To vote, find your polling place using the Secretary of State’s website or check if you’re already registered to vote by bringing proof of residence. A sample ballot for each address is available on the state’s website.

Key races include:

– Minneapolis: Voters will elect a mayor, City Council members, Board of Estimate and Taxation, and Park Board.
– St. Paul: Voters will determine leadership in the city’s government.
– Duluth: Voters will consider a measure to allow renters to initiate small repairs themselves at their expense.

Polls are open from 7 a.m.-8 p.m., with those waiting in line before closing time allowed to vote.
