Apple has released security updates to fix nearly 50 vulnerabilities across its devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and more. These updates are crucial to prevent cybercriminals from accessing private data or taking control of parts of your device.
The most critical flaw is a permission issue in iOS and iPadOS that could allow an app to identify which other apps you have installed. This vulnerability has been patched with the release of iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1.
Another serious issue is a privacy breach in watchOS, visionOS, and Apple TV that could allow malicious apps to capture screenshots of sensitive information. Apple has addressed this by tightening privacy checks and isolation policies.
To keep your devices secure, update them as soon as possible. You can check for updates on:
* iOS and iPadOS: Go to Settings > General > Software Update
* macOS: Click the Apple menu in the upper-left corner of your screen, select System Settings (or System Preferences), then click Software Update
* Apple Watch: Open the Watch app on your iPhone, tap General > Software Update
* Apple TV: Turn on your Apple TV, open the Settings app, navigate to System > Software Updates
* Safari and Xcode updates are included with macOS updates
