TCU’s private university has not held a formal ceremony in 21 years, but this year it marked a new beginning with the inauguration of Chancellor Daniel Pullin. The ceremony, part of its Values in Action Week, was attended by representatives from various groups, including faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
Chancellor-elect Pullin emphasized the importance of shared values and dreams in leadership, saying that a servant leader helps others see what’s possible and guides them towards it. He has been instrumental in shaping TCU since 2019 as dean and professor for the Neeley School of Business before becoming president in 2023.
The university’s outgoing Chancellor emeritus Victor Boschini expressed confidence in Pullin’s leadership, saying he is a visionary with a deep commitment to students. Students also praised Pullin for embodying TCU’s spirit and valuing their voices and ideas.
During the ceremony, Boschini presented Pullin with the Chancellor’s Medallion, which includes the university’s seal and a pair of purple sneakers as a symbol of his new role. This marks a significant milestone in Pullin’s tenure as he becomes the 11th leader to take the reins at TCU, leading nearly 13,000 students.
