Google’s November Update Packed with Bug Fixes and Features

Google typically holds back on major features until its Quarterly Feature Drop. Instead, it focuses on fixing security vulnerabilities and squashing bugs through monthly updates. The October update for Pixels was relatively minor, but the upcoming November build seems to have a more substantial list of bug fixes. Although Verizon accidentally published the full change log for the October update, they’ve since revoked it.

The leaked information includes:

– Audio issues addressed in Pixel Fold, Pixel 9a, and other devices
– General improvements for charging and battery usage on all devices
– A fix for photos taken with the UW and telephoto lenses displaying a rainbow-like color pattern
– Issues with some apps loading and webcam mode not working properly addressed in all devices

For security patches, the update provides the most recent Android updates for your device. However, Verizon’s list only includes builds for Pixel 8 to 10 and Pixel 7a, leaving out the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro.

There’s also a surprising rumor about a potential Feature Drop this month, which might include support for one-tap theme packs. This feature is not mentioned in Verizon’s release notes, fueling speculation that Google might surprise users with more significant updates than initially thought.
