YouTube TV Credits $20 to Subscribers Amid Disney Blackout

YouTube TV is offering a $20 one-time credit to subscribers who lost access to Disney-owned channels like ABC and ESPN due to a contract dispute between the two companies.

To claim this credit, which applies only to the next billing cycle, subscribers must manually input it through their account settings on a web browser. However, some have noted that the process is confusing.

The $20 credit was announced as part of YouTube TV’s response to the blackout of Disney channels in October, and it comes just as major sports seasons are underway. For many subscribers, this amount may not fully compensate for the loss of these networks during key sporting events.

To claim the credit, sign in to your YouTube TV account on a web browser, click on “Settings” under your profile picture, select “Updates,” and then click “Claim credit.” The site should display a note confirming that the $20 will be applied towards the next bill.
