Actress Scarlett Johansson will soon star alongside Ewan McGregor and Sean Bean in the 2005 sci-fi thriller “The Island”, set to stream on Netflix near the end of November. The film follows a mercenary as he pursues two people who’ve just learned their true fate.
“The Island” received mixed reviews from critics, with a 39% score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 63% audience score. It was also a box office flop, grossing only $162 million despite a large budget of $125 million.
Johansson’s upcoming projects include Disney’s live-action “Tangled” movie, although no release date has been announced. She has also expressed interest in returning to her role as Black Widow, but has denied any involvement with the upcoming Marvel film “Avengers: Doomsday”.
