A US-based pharmaceutical company has announced that it’s cutting the cash price of its popular weight-loss medication Wegovy and another drug called Ozempic by 30%. As of Monday, customers without insurance will pay $349 per month for either medication, down from $499. The price cut is part of a larger strategy to make these life-saving drugs more affordable for people with chronic diseases like obesity and type 2 diabetes.
