Steelers Secure 34th Playoff Berth Under Coach Mike Tomlin

The Pittsburgh Steelers have secured a playoff spot for the 34th time in franchise history, thanks to losses by the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Dolphins fell to the Houston Texans, while the Colts lost to the Denver Broncos.

With this clinch, the Steelers move up to third place in NFL history in terms of playoff berths, surpassing the New York Giants who also hold 33 playoff berths. This marks the 11th time under Coach Mike Tomlin’s leadership that the team has earned a playoff spot.

Tomlin has led the Steelers to numerous accolades, including seven AFC North titles, three AFC Championship games, and two Super Bowl appearances, with one championship win in Super Bowl XLIII. The team currently sits atop the AFC North division with an 10-4 regular season record after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this season.
