Microsoft recently released the November monthly update for Windows 11, but it has introduced new problems instead of fixing existing issues. The update, known as KB5068861, includes error messages during installation and difficulties searching files on file servers or shared network drives.
In the meantime, users can roll back the update to regain their security updates, but this will reopen vulnerabilities that attackers can exploit. If you’re experiencing installation errors, try installing the update manually using the Microsoft Update Catalog or Media Creation Tool.
The issue also affects Windows 10 users with the first ESU (Extended Security Update) update, which was released after Windows 10 lost official support in October.
