Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson returned to practice on Thursday ahead of the team’s game against the New York Jets on Sunday. Despite being listed as having his third injury of the season, Jackson was a full participant and assured reporters that he is “good.” The injuries include an ankle sprain, hamstring strain, shoulder/groin issues, calf sprain, foot problem, and illness. Coach John Harbaugh declined to discuss the specifics of Jackson’s ankle injury but said it was similar to his previous week’s absence.
The Ravens’ coaching staff aims to get as many players available for Sunday’s game as possible, despite some injuries being limited. The team is facing a short turnaround with two games in five days, including the Jets and Cincinnati Bengals matches. Only two active roster players remained missing from practice: wide receiver Rashod Bateman and cornerback Keyon Martin.
Jackson has struggled with injuries this season, missing three games with a hamstring injury but returning for Ravens’ wins over the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings. Despite his lower-body issues, Jackson’s completion percentage is higher than in 2023, and he completed 14 of 25 passes for 193 yards against the Browns last week.
