Google has launched a new generative AI photo editing tool called Nano Banana Pro, designed to help users reimagine images with advanced features like 4K resolution and various aspect ratios. The tool was built on Gemini 3 Pro and uses “state-of-the-art reasoning and real-world knowledge” to visualize information.
With Nano Banana Pro, users can create prototypes, infographics, and turn handwritten notes into diagrams. The tool allows for localized editing, improved text control, and multilingual reasoning, enabling users to create art in multiple languages or translate their own content.
The feature is available on the Gemini app with limited free quotas for free-tier users. Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers receive higher quotas. Nano Banana Pro is also available for NotebookLM subscribers. The tool’s performance has seen a 4% rise in Alphabet Inc.’s stock value following its announcement.
