Director Dan Farah’s documentary debut, The Age of Disclosure, makes the case that the US government has been hiding information about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) – formerly known as UFOs. The film features interviews with former Pentagon officials, military leaders, and experts who claim to have direct knowledge of these programs.
The director’s interest in UAP began from his childhood watching movies like ET and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which sparked a curiosity about whether we’re alone in the universe. Farah teamed up with Luis Elizondo, a former Pentagon official who helped lead AATIP (Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program), to make the documentary.
The film features 34 contributors from various backgrounds, including members of Congress and people with national security experience, who offer insights into UAP technology and its potential benefits. Marco Rubio, the current secretary of state, agrees that much of the research on UAPs is on a need-to-know basis, which can lead to secrecy and lack of transparency.
Farah believes that credible testimony from those who have direct knowledge is more compelling than video or photos. He hopes that by sharing their experiences, he will encourage others to come forward and reveal the truth about UAPs. The director sees this as a matter of time before a sitting US president addresses the public about extraterrestrial life, ending the era of secrecy and transparency.
