Google’s NotebookLM has integrated a new AI model called Nano Banana Pro into its tools for creating infographics and slide decks. The partnership allows users to easily design complex, publication-ready graphics without leaving their notebook.
NotebookLM has turned to the Nano Banana Pro image-making AI model to produce both infographics and slide decks, marking a significant step forward in multimodal AI tools. This integration brings together research and design, enabling users to synthesize accurate information into visual formats.
To test the capabilities of NotebookLM with Nano Banana Pro, we created an infographic comparing the earliest King Arthur stories with the more complete myth created later. The output showcased how the AI drew a direct line between the primitive and elaborate versions of the Arthurian myth.
Another infographic journeyed through historical eras, highlighting how characters like King Arthur and Merlin’s appearances and roles evolved over time. The transitions were not only visual but also thematic, reflecting the politics, morality, and aesthetics of each era.
A slide deck was created to depict the Arthurian myth cycle at different stages, from its original form to the 21st century. Although imperfect, the output felt like a full multimedia lecture series that required minor refinement.
The collaboration between NotebookLM and Nano Banana Pro transforms research into polished graphics with captions, making it easier for users to visualize their ideas without extensive design expertise. This partnership elevates the way research feels, turning it into a polished argument ready for presentation.
