Her experience illustrates how impractical airport dress codes can be. Many travelers took to social media to say they wouldn’t change their loungewear for air travel. Comedian Michelle Wolf joked that people should wear nice suits but said “we’re not dressing for what we want, we’re dressing for what we have.” The issue has been ongoing for years and some people even call it an act of political resistance.
