Samsung is allegedly hiding exclusive One UI 8.5 features for its upcoming Galaxy S26 series, including an AI-powered notification summary tool that uses the company’s Gauss model to provide users with a concise overview of their past 24 hours’ notifications.
The feature, which supports multiple languages, will likely remain exclusive to the Galaxy S26 series at first before being rolled out to other Samsung phones. This news comes as part of Samsung’s introduction of the One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 series, which brings features like a redesigned Quick Settings panel and updates to the Quick Share app.
The upcoming Galaxy AI features include an upgraded Photo Assist in the Gallery app that allows users to apply AI edits to images without having to save each iteration. However, it appears Samsung is keeping some of these features under wraps until the launch of the Galaxy S26 series.
While Google’s recent introduction of a similar notification summary feature for select Pixel phones and Apple’s offering on iPhone have set the bar high, the Galaxy S26 series will be the first to receive this exclusive feature.
