Steven Spielberg’s ‘Disclosure Day’ to Hit Theaters This Summer

Acclaimed director Steven Spielberg is back with a new sci-fi thriller titled “Disclosure Day,” starring Emily Blunt. The movie follows a TV weather broadcaster from Kansas City who suddenly becomes possessed by an unknown entity during live broadcasts. With the help of producers and viewers, she struggles to hold herself together as the situation spirals out of control.

The film’s official logline asks if finding extraterrestrial life would be frightening for humanity. “Disclosure Day” aims to answer this question, exploring the implications of such a discovery on our global population of 7 billion people.

Spielberg, known for his work in iconic sci-fi films like “E.T.” and “Close Encounters of the Third Kind,” has teamed up with award-winning writer David Koepp to craft the screenplay. The movie also features a talented cast, including Colman Domingo, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, and Eve Hewson.

“Disclosure Day” is set to release in theaters on June 12, 2026, giving fans of Spielberg’s work something to look forward to this summer.
