Apple is reportedly working on two major upgrades to its mobile devices, with the possibility of introducing foldability in the near future. According to multiple reports, the tech giant plans to launch at least two foldable devices within the next few years.
The larger device, described as a 19-inch screen model, could rival desktop monitors in size and functionality. A smaller version is expected to be a foldable iPhone with a larger screen than its predecessor, the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Apple has been working on both devices for several years, with the foldable iPhone likely to hit the market first. The company aims for a 2026 launch, although this timeline may be adjusted in favor of an earlier start date.
While the primary focus is on the larger device, which appears to be a giant iPad equivalent, Apple has also been exploring a foldable iPhone option. Notably, the team behind the project is making significant strides in eliminating visible creases on foldable screens when they’re open.
