Gill alleged that visiting local malls in Texas feels like he’s in Pakistan, not Dallas. He also claimed there is “mass Islamic migration” happening, which is “killing the America we know and love”. However, Gill did not provide any evidence to support his claims.
The comments were met with criticism, with some saying he was making the remarks to make his Indian wife happy. Brandon Gill’s wife, Danielle D’Souza Gill, has also faced controversy in the past for her comments on Muslims and Indians.
Gill represents Texas’ 26th Congressional District and focuses on issues such as securing the border, protecting life, and restoring America’s economic strength.
