Microsoft’s stock has increased by 1.9% due to its efforts in developing Copilot, a chatbot that is central to the company’s artificial intelligence strategy. However, users and employees are struggling with the product.
The main issue lies in the brand positioning and interoperability problems, which are causing frustration among those who use the service. Only a small proportion of Microsoft’s enterprise suite subscribers are using Copilot, and their preference for it over other tools like Google’s Gemini has decreased in recent months.
This is a challenging time for Microsoft as its CEO Satya Nadella aims to transform the company into an AI-first business, similar to his transformation of it into a cloud-first company around a decade ago. The success of Copilot is crucial to this goal.
