Lawler stated that he is opposed to freezing funds but understands the complexities behind the issue. He emphasized that a critical infrastructure project is more important than its name.
On immigration reform, Lawler highlighted the need for a legal path forward for undocumented immigrants. He argued that people who have been in the country for years should be able to work legally and pay their taxes without fear of deportation. Lawler believes a solution is possible but requires a balanced approach.
