A new brain training video game called speed training, which enhances visual processing, may help protect against Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia for decades. The study, published in the journal Alzheimer’s & Dementia: Translational Research & Clinical Interventions, found that participants who did 23 hours of speed training over a three-year period had a 25% lower risk of developing dementia compared to those who didn’t do any cognitive training.
