21-Year-Old Survives Broad Daylight Shooting at Rockford Gas Station

A 21-year-old man survived a broad daylight shooting at a gas station in Rockford, Illinois. The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon when the victim was shot multiple times in his leg during a confrontation with an apparent car thief.

According to police, the victim was inside the store of the Fas Fuel gas station located at 3302 11th Street when another man entered his vehicle. The two men got into a subsequent confrontation, resulting in the victim being shot.

Police say the suspect fled the scene in what they described as a dark-colored vehicle. Despite suffering multiple gunshot wounds, the victim is reported to be stable and recovering from his injuries.
