Solicitor’s £600k Theft Linked to Parkinson’s Medication Side Effects

A solicitor who was prescribed Parkinson’s medication as part of his treatment for Parkinson’s disease stole over £600,000 from vulnerable clients, including pensioners in care homes, and splurged it on adult webcams, prostitutes, and collectibles. The theft was attributed to the side effects of the medication Pramipexole, which left him with “hyper-sexuality” and an inability to control himself. The solicitor’s ex-wife said the medication “completely dismantled” his life, leading to her son’s death by suicide just months after his release from prison.
